Perhaps you have heard of dreams and visions but do not know the clear difference between the two. This is an attempt to differentiate between visions and dreams.
Dreams and Visions
According to Jim Goll in his book, The Seer, he says that the difference between a dream and a vision is that dreams “occur during the hours of sleep, while visions usually take place while one is fully awake or conscious.” For example, I was praying one day when I saw a vision that open up like a high definition screen and saw dark clouds hidden demonic beings. I was awake and praying when this happened.
Dreams often occur when one is sleeping. The dream can have a series of scenes. There are several snap shots in a dream. Ira Milligan in his book, Understanding the Dreams you Dream, states, “A dream is like a snapshot, which captures one brief moment out of a lifetime. It cannot be understood fully without knowing something about the life of the person it concerns.” It is important to understand that the meaning and application of dreams are primarily for those who have them.
It gets more complex when during a dream some see Night Visions. Ira declares, “There is a difference between a dream and a night vision. A night vision requires little or no interpretation. In addition to the actual vision seen, a night vision usually has a voice speaking that gives the primary meaning and message of the visions.” See the Apocalyptic Anointing where it is written that the hearing interprets the seen.
